The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, Szajk LC's Brúnó Jánosi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonatan Rydelius was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Lantos to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Brandin kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Adrián Vámosi. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szajk LC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erik Sjödin was slow to take the kick. During this time Fomac FK's players had a chance to rest. Fomac FK's Erik Sjödin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Álmos Simon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Csaba Kuti's late challenge caught a Fomac FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Csaba Kuti helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Csaba Kuti to maneuver through the defense. If Jens-Ove Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Szajk LC's Brúnó Selymes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Brúnó Selymes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Szajk LC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brúnó Selymes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Szajk LC! The referee gave Fomac FK a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rutger Godholm, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Szajk LC's Álmos Simon. 2-1. Claes Åkerström fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 44th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot.

52 minutes into the game, István Tulipán was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szajk LC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fomac FK the free kick. A collision led to Szajk LC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. István Tulipán hit a great ball. Álmos Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Brandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Daniel Kiempe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szajk LC's goalkeeper Álmos Simon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Kiempe came free, but Álmos Simon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes of play, Fomac FK's Daniel Kiempe made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álmos Simon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennis Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Kiempe in the 90th minute of play forced Szajk LC's goalkeeper Álmos Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Fomac FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ove Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball.
