Artur Soroka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Djorkaeff in the 10th minute of the match. Artur Soroka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Djorkaeff's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Julian Czajka charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Czajka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Szczucin booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patxi Bréard didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Youri Djorkaeff in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Soroka saved FC Szczucin from getting behind. Edmond Kubiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Artur Soroka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Soroka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Djorkaeff, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Edmond Kubiak took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Soroka. Artur Soroka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 38 played minutes FC Szczucin got a freekick which was hit by Aureliusz Frankowski. 39 minutes into the match, Sébastien Milliot notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Szczucin's Artur Soroka. Artur Soroka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the FC Szczucin defense, Youri Djorkaeff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Soroka. The FC Szczucin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Soroka should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Wawrzyniec Raszek made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Youri Djorkaeff made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. FC Szczucin's Artur Soroka tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Szczucin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Youri Djorkaeff scored to the left of an out of position Artur Soroka, making the score, 0-6. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Youri Djorkaeff put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Artur Soroka. Youri Djorkaeff received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Artur Soroka came out and tried to block the shot, but Youri Djorkaeff slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 69th minute. Artur Soroka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Youri Djorkaeff went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute of the match Marco Nugues sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Soroka skillfully saved the ball. If Patxi Bréard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Youri Djorkaeff got free with Artur Soroka in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Youri Djorkaeff took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Soroka. Artur Soroka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. After a defensive mix-up in FC Szczucin's zone, Lilian Thuram stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Soroka came out of the goal and Lilian Thuram tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
