Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Isidro Reno took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th match minute, Nankatsu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerim Saatçi to maneuver through the defense. After 13 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Kiril Ivkov. A collision led to Nankatsu SC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Orestis Efthimiou hit a great ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Kiril Ivkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiril Ivkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Gustavo Txurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute Edgardo Gombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Gaizko in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a corner. Nankatsu SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juan Pablo Sorin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Juan Pablo Sorin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nankatsu SC's Arlindo Silva did a great save. After 37 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Txurio. Özmen Özkurt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Jacobo Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Reno in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Arlindo Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Oso in the 52nd minute of the match. Arlindo Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquín Ochoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Edgardo Gombal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 63rd playminute. If Isidro Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nankatsu SC's Barışcan Kaygun was substituted for Aykutalp User. After a rather tough play, Nankatsu SC's Kerim Saatçi got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute Albino Oso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes Nankatsu SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Pablo Sorin who took care of the corner kick. Edgardo Gombals short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Jacobo Romo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute Albino Oso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Jacobo Romo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Gombal. With a little luck, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Jacobo Romo got control of the ball when Isidro Reno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquín Ochoa hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Nankatsu SC's Nurtekin Özaltın was substituted for Halit Ziya Adışanlı. When the final whistle went the supporters of Nankatsu SC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE side.
