Atlético Matorrales's Leonardo Loco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Unai in the 35th minute of play. Arsenal were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Atlético Matorrales's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Julio Gonzales took the corner. Leonardo Loco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Venancio Unai's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Jeremias Hitz charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Venancio Unai in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Loco saved Atlético Matorrales from getting behind. In the 62ndth minute of the game Venancio Unai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Matorrales's Leonardo Loco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 66 played minutes Atlético Matorrales got a freekick which was hit by Diego Leocadio. After 69 minutes, Diego Leocadio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Matorrales and the Arsenal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atlético Matorrales getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. The Atlético Matorrales fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Loco should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Quilino in the 96th minute of the match. The Arsenal support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
