Belo Alvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Jess Carnduff made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Erlantz Bermejo came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Mateusz Rydel. Maurino Serena came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat. But to his dismay, Valter Xabat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jess Carnduff was a little too slow when Belo Alvarez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Erlantz Bermejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolinar Guijarro made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alemannia Aachen's Louis Leißner. 27 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Kottsieper came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belo Alvarez got free with Jess Carnduff in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurino Serena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Kottsieper, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute Valter Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belo Alvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jess Carnduff made a huge save. Lech Wawrukiewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lech Wawrukiewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 57th minute Valter Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erlantz Bermejo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A.D. Alcorcón's Eusebio Quijana was substituted for Natxo Cacheres. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Xabat in the 83rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Valter Xabat took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Maurino Serena to make any attempt to save it. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Xabat in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Antunez in the 96th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Jess Carnduff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Alemannia Aachen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alemannia Aachen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
