Donato Balestra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute, Blair Lamb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ray Folwill made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Yaniusky Pardo sent off a good shot on target. Ray Folwill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo in the 10th minute of play. Donato Balestra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Cheng Jing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Balestra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Cheng Jing in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ssc Napoli's goalkeeper Ray Folwill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Arturo Di Matteo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ray Folwill, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Maranhense in the 28th minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Di Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ssc Napoli's goalkeeper Ray Folwill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 44 played minutes Ssc Napoli got a freekick which was hit by George Kitching. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ssc Napoli made a substitution. Austin Lomas replaced Blair Lamb. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yu Cheng Jing to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ssc Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Maranhense. Roberto Toro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes Ssc Napoli's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fedele Alessandrini who took care of the corner kick. Calenzano's Fedele Alessandrini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ray Folwill in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 63rd minute, Arturo Di Matteo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calenzano made a substitution. Alessandro Giocondo replaced Yaniusky Pardo. Calenzano made a substitution. Ennio Daniele replaced Alessio Santini. Ssc Napoli's Oddbjørn Fjærli was substituted for Mai Zhan Shu. Comunardo Chizzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Folwill having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ssc Napoli's zone, Pierrot Leenpoels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Folwill came out of the goal and Pierrot Leenpoels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donato Balestra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Cheng Jing in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th minute Yu Cheng Jing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Balestra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Roberto Toro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ssc Napoli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calenzano the free kick. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Pierrot Leenpoels put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ray Folwill. After 90 played minutes Calenzano got a freekick which was hit by Achille Sciamanna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Toro in the 92nd minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calenzano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
