Marcos Berdoi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Amos Colagrossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 9th minute of the match. Şevket Çağa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Amos Colagrossi made a huge save. 15 minutes into the game, Paşa Palla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Paşa Palla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Berdoi in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amos Colagrossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, L.R. Vicenza's goalkeeper Amos Colagrossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Caradaro. Amos Colagrossi made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Paolo Caradaro sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paşa Palla to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in L.R. Vicenza fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! L.R. Vicenza:s Amos Colagrossi showed great skill when he stopped Emil Chwalkiewicz:s penalty. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Club Atlético Atlanta lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
