The audience was convinced that Ismael Medina Bello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui de Mendonça was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 20thth minute of the game Ismael Medina Bello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Encanto's Rui de Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Encanto defense, Uriel Txordon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui de Mendonça. The Encanto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Ismael Medina Bello made a precise shot to the right of Rui de Mendonça. Encanto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Gaston Oskarbi made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Betão Sena sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute of the match Encanto got a corner. RIVER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardinho Lopez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Encanto's Ricardinho Lopez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gaston Oskarbi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rui de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Austin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael Medina Bello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rui de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Hernan Kelemen sent off a good shot on target. Hernan Kelemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Rui de Mendonça made a huge save. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Medina Bello in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui de Mendonça saved Encanto from getting behind. A collision led to Encanto getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Denílson do Nascimento hit a great ball.
