Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Rikanović in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuele Iannone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The RIVER fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when RIVER's Claudio Rikanović looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 21 played minutes Maci FC got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Piola. Uriel Txordon might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuele Iannone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uriel Txordon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute Adriano Carbonetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, RIVER's Uriel Txordon got a free kick in the 25th minute. Maci FC's Emanuele Iannone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Rikanović in the 27th minute of play. Emanuele Iannone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Rikanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When RIVER's Claudio Rikanović in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maci FC's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Claudio Rikanović notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Maci FC's Emanuele Iannone. Emanuele Iannone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuele Iannone came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Claudio Rikanović. But to his dismay, Claudio Rikanović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Uriel Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlo Tesone charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlo Tesone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Maci FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Tesone to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Maci FC's Emanuele Iannone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Rikanović in the 53rd minute of play. Adriano Carbonetti kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Hernan Kelemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Di Sipio kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maci FC's goalkeeper Emanuele Iannone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claudio Rikanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Iannone having to interfere. In the 79th minute RIVER were awarded a corner. Claudio Rikanović went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Maci FC's goalie and right to Claudio Rikanović. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Maci FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 81st minute, Claudio Rikanović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Camillo Croce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RIVER's Uriel Txordon got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Rikanović in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuele Iannone saved Maci FC from getting behind. RIVER's Rosendo Osorio got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Maci FC's goalkeeper Emanuele Iannone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Kelemen.
