Modlau's Tymoteusz Gdaniec was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Corder Clubley in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 18 minutes into the game, Zlatin Ibrahimović lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Corder Clubley. With his leg Corder Clubley managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Modlau's Zlatin Ibrahimović fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corder Clubley saved Elderslie Magpies from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Zlatin Ibrahimović put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Corder Clubley. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Kelaino Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Brad Missen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukasz Traczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Modlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlatin Ibrahimović didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corder Clubley saved Elderslie Magpies from getting behind. Corder Clubley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 40th minute of play. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corder Clubley. Elderslie Magpies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brad Missen to make the kick off. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima in the 51st minute of the match. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima in the 58th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corder Clubley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corder Clubley having to interfere. When Modlau's Zlatin Ibrahimović in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. There was no doubt that Modlau were the better team. Modlau's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
