The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Albertinho Alagoano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nistor Maghiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciprian Alexe in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nistor Arjoca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute Niculae Şantău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Arjoca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute Allan Shearer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Arjoca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Albertinho Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Maghiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Minerul Baita -MM- defense, Albertinho Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nistor Maghiar. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nistor Maghiar should have stopped the shot. Ciprian Alexe scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nistor Arjoca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Şantău came free, but Nistor Arjoca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Ciprian Alexe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nistor Maghiar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marioara Miculescu in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nistor Maghiar saved Minerul Baita -MM- from getting behind. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Nistor Arjoca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Shearer in the 31st minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Allan Shearer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Nistor Arjoca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Albertinho Alagoano in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalie prevented a goal. Nistor Maghiar was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Albertinho Alagoano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albertinho Alagoano really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Shearer to make the kick off. If Ciprian Alexe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Shearer in the 61st minute of play forced -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goalkeeper Nistor Arjoca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Felix Ferenț was substituted for Vlad Tepes. A collision led to -BZF- Petrolul Berca getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Liviu Hurmuz hit a great ball. If Marioara Miculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nistor Arjoca was a little too slow when Ciprian Alexe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Shearer in the 76th minute of play forced -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goalkeeper Nistor Arjoca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Allan Shearer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 86 minutes into the game, Ciprian Alexe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nistor Arjoca. Ciprian Alexe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Niculae Şantău was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of -BZF- Petrolul Berca booed when Minerul Baita -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Shearer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The -BZF- Petrolul Berca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Minerul Baita -MM- were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
