With a little luck, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Octav Hortopan got control of the ball when Anton Otețea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octav Hortopan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jock Tare in the 46th minute of play. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Panait Vochin in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelian Acalinei to make the kick off. Basarab Achimescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the -BZF- Fc Gheraseni defense, Jock Tare kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octav Hortopan. The -BZF- Fc Gheraseni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octav Hortopan should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's zone, Anton Otețea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octav Hortopan came out of the goal and Anton Otețea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octav Hortopan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jock Tare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Otețea in the 86th minute of play forced -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goalkeeper Octav Hortopan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Jock Tare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Hortopan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octav Hortopan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Otețea in the 88th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Anton Otețea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
