An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Rios in the 75th minute of play forced Acuña's goalkeeper Gil Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Carmelo Librado in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AFC FUSION's Jan Hop. After a defensive mix-up in Acuña's zone, Aureliano Karlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Leme came out of the goal and Aureliano Karlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aureliano Karlo got free with Gil Leme in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AFC FUSION's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
