After having played for 6 minutes, Cuca Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ogro F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cuca Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ogro F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Ogro F.C.'s Cuca Teixeira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ogro F.C.'s Vágner Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Vágner Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ogro F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Marquinhos Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cuca Teixeira in the 18th minute of play. Marquinhos Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Seco in the 20th minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Marquinhos Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Ogro F.C. were awarded a corner. João Francisco Alagoano went to the cornerflag to take it. Marquinhos Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cuca Teixeira in the 25th minute of play. Marcelo Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Ogro F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Alves. 35 minutes into the game, Ogro F.C.'s Cuca Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marquinhos Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gugu Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Chicão Barbosa made a huge save. Chris Adler was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. Chicão Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jailson Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Marcelo Alves might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Alves ran back to his position shaking his head. Chicão Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisinho dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Ogro F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Salles came free, but Chicão Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tico Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Xavier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Chicão Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st match minute, Ogro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ogro F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Ogro F.C..
