Belmiro Sanches started the match with the kick off. Gugu Silva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tarcisio Gerber came out and tried to block the shot, but Gugu Silva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Silva. In the 25th minute Evandro Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Marquinhos Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Marquinhos Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Machado in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Machado came free, but Marquinhos Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Machado struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Marquinhos Xavier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EDI MZB. Tarcisio Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Silva in the 41st minute. Gugu Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Tarcisio Gerber made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Belmiro Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. EDI MZB's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gugu Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Tarcisio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gugu Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tarcisio Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Salles in the 54th minute of play. Didi Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Didi Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Silva in the 61st minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarcisio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Machado in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Xavier saved Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ from getting behind. After taking down the ball on EDI MZB's corner Aníbal Velasco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marquinhos Xavier quite easily take care of the ball. In the 74th minute, Pedro Paulo Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. EDI MZB made a substitution. Hélio Baiano replaced Belmiro Sanches. The supporters of EDI MZB booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Tiago Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. When Edi Souza fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EDI MZB's protests and gave Edi Souza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edi Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Marquinhos Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Machado in the 89th minute of play. Fábio Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
