The JFSP fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when JFSP's Vambola Probach looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristiano Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vambola Probach in the 20th minute of play. Acácio Sergipano hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Laerte Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JFSP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ the free kick. The supporters of Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Acácio Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Albuquerque didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vambola Probach went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. César Sampaio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Aníbal Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's goal looked a bit too open when Vambola Probach came free, but Cristiano Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Laerte Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Aníbal Pirani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JFSP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After the first half JFSP were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amauri Barbosa made a kick off. JFSP's Ismael Velloso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 52nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristiano Albuquerque but with some difficulty. Cristiano Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Pirani in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Vambola Probach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Abraão to maneuver through the defense. JFSP made a substitution. Zé Paulo Saldanha replaced Danilo Gonçalves. JFSP's Sílvio Luís Ceresso was substituted for Ismael Velloso. After a rather tough play, Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's Ademar Abraão got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Aníbal Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. In the 81st minute, Vambola Probach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute Vambola Probach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Cristiano Albuquerque managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when JFSP's Sílvio Luís Ceresso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fred Zonta thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Cristiano Albuquerque, a very annoying self made goal in the 87th minute which led to 0-5. Vambola Probach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Cristiano Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vambola Probach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of JFSP booed when Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The JFSP supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing JFSP would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
