Granadero10's Sydney Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Granadero10 from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Magalhães got free with Sydney Barros in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tiaguinho Coelho hit a great ball. Cauã Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Cafu Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Valdir Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sydney Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Granadero10's Pedro Paulo Paulista got a free kick in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Magalhães during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes OTTO FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Sabóia. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Magalhães made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cafu Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgílio Seco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Seco in the 73rd minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cafu Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Germano Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of OTTO FC - FSCMZ booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Virgílio Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, João Augusto Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Seco in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Valdir Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Vasconcelos came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
