Luís Guilherme Salgado's late challenge caught a Scarlet Speedster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Guilherme Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jardim América FC's Luís Guilherme Salgado got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Perivaldo Torres had great luck who in the 4thth minute grab hold of the ball when Leonardo Pombal from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jardim América FC's Walmir Araújo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carlos Fernando Freire in the 19 minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Kauan Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jardim América FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Scarlet Speedster's zone, Cristiano Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto de Salles came out of the goal and Cristiano Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Senna in the 31st minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Umberto de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafu Toledo scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Monteiro came free, but Umberto de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Toledo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Toledo in the 52nd minute of play forced Jardim América FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Torres came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Scarlet Speedster's Cafu Toledo. But to his dismay, Cafu Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kauan Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Umberto de Salles made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Monteiro in the 61st minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Umberto de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Narciso Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauan Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Jardim América FC's Perivaldo Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Toledo in the 65th minute of play. Perivaldo Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jardim América FC's Kauan Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umberto de Salles was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Cristiano Senna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristiano Senna really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Perivaldo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Senna to maneuver through the defense. Perivaldo Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Toledo in the 86th minute of the match. Jardim América FC's Chicão de Moraes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carlos Fernando Freire, made in the 88th minute of the game. Umberto de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Monteiro in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Kauan Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jardim América FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
