Luisinho Nogueira made a great header on Palmares Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that Granadero10's Sydney Barros managed to reach the ball for a save. After 14 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paulo Paulista. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Maravilha in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Barros saved Granadero10 from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Tiaguinho Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's Gláuber da Costa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Granadero10's Sydney Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Secco in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Granadero10's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisinho Nogueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Palmares Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Gláuber da Costa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's Alfredo Botelho got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the game, one of Palmares Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Palmares Futebol Clube:s Leonardo Paz showed great skill when he stopped Tostão Melo:s penalty. In the 37th minute, Jarbas Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Palmares Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Seco came free, but Leonardo Paz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Tiaguinho Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the game, Palmares Futebol Clube's João Vítor Sena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sydney Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 2-0 became the score in the 46th minute when João Vítor Sena elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Sydney Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Granadero10 booed when Palmares Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Maravilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Maravilha in the 56th minute of play forced Granadero10's goalkeeper Sydney Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palmares Futebol Clube's zone, Virgílio Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Paz came out of the goal and Virgílio Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Seco got free with Leonardo Paz in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonel Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Palmares Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Granadero10's Leonel Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Palmares Futebol Clube made a substitution. João Carlos Antunes replaced Jarbas Porto. Cláudio Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Palmares Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
