Vitinho Garcia hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the game, Frank Sten lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Claudinho Moura. In the 10th minute Giuliano David shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when AS Pikachuzim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Giuliano David was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee ignored AS Pikachuzim's protests and gave Victor da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. AS Pikachuzim's Claudinho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save AS Pikachuzim from getting a goal against them. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frank Sten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudinho Moura in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuliano David got free with Claudinho Moura in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Villaverde Celeste Clube getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Vitinho Garcia hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Bittencourt came free, but Alfredo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Alfredo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Waldemar Lucas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudinho Moura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villaverde Celeste Clube reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dadá Torres in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Linares saved Villaverde Celeste Clube from getting behind. In the 43rdth minute of the game Frank Sten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AS Pikachuzim's Claudinho Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Frank Sten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Moura was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After 46 played minutes AS Pikachuzim got a freekick which was hit by Gildo da Fonseca. Claudinho Moura acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Frank Sten. When Gildo da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Pikachuzim's protests and gave Gildo da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AS Pikachuzim getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gildo da Fonseca hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dadá Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dadá Torres in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Valladares was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Cristian Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Linares was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Alfredo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Alfredo Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Bittencourt in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Alfredo Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dadá Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dadá Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes AS Pikachuzim got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Torres. For all the effort they put into the match, the AS Pikachuzim players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villaverde Celeste Clube.
