When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Didi Gaúcho put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lúcio Domingues. In the 15th minute, Ezequiel Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Pereira in the 17th minute of play. Lúcio Domingues was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arí Motta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. The AF CERRADO fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when AF CERRADO's Arí Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Lúcio Domingues managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when AF CERRADO's Arí Motta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute Ezequiel Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the AF CERRADO defense, Glauco Aparecido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Alcântara. The AF CERRADO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Alcântara should have stopped the shot. After 42 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Pereira. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Arí Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Arí Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

54 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Aparecido came free, but Severino Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Severino Alcântara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lúcio Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Artur Sergipano hit a great ball. Lúcio Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Motta in the 81st minute of the match. Didi Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Glauco Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AF CERRADO had played much better football throughout.
