The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 22ndth minute of the game Marcelo Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 minutes, Marcelo Eger made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Murilo Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Eger in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naldo Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. After 64 minutes, Carlos Augusto Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curiphila Eagles and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Castanheiro SC were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Curiphila Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcelo Eger took the corner. The corner led Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger to fire away a dangerous shot which Murilo Paiva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Castanheiro SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
