If Adalberto Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Faria to maneuver through the defense. Amílton Medeiros took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Augusto Peixoto. Zé Augusto Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adalberto Donato got free with Zé Augusto Peixoto in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Adalberto Donato got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Márcio Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Hélder Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Sampaio hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Adalberto Donato left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brasiliense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 37th minute, Márcio Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Augusto Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Lopez in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Lopez came free, but Zé Augusto Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Márcio Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Adalberto Donato made the kick off in the second half. Zé Augusto Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Medeiros. Zé Augusto Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Brasiliense FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Cabral hit a great ball. Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Augusto Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Donato in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Clemente Lopez made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Peixoto. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Júnior Camargo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Hélder Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Brasiliense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Zé Augusto Peixoto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adalberto Donato went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adalberto Donato in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Peixoto saved Vascogoianiense FC from getting behind. Amílton Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Lúcio Furtado got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Ulisses Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulisses Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Brasiliense FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
