When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luca Postelnicescu made a kick off. Mete Nared fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Tournas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petros Kalivrousis in the 62nd minute of play forced Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Vila Nova FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mete Nared to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Dhafnospiliá BC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Simos Nestoriadis hit a great ball. Nikos Tournas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner. Rubens Senna went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Vila Nova FC's Rubens Senna to fire away a dangerous shot which Nikos Tournas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Mete Nared took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Nikos Tournas to make any attempt to save it. Nikos Tournas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Basso, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Dhafnospiliá BC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rubens Senna took the corner. Vila Nova FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
