After having played for 29 minutes, Santi Urbieta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saga TF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santi Urbieta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arne Botnen in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Biörkquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Tomas Norberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Laudrup in the 42nd minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Biörkquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bloodthirsty FC's Håkan Viklund got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Erik Cantona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Saga TF booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Nordin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Cantona was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Erik Cantona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenneth Biörkquist was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Kenneth Biörkquist was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Erik Cantona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erik Cantona really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Bloodthirsty FC's Kenneth Biörkquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Botnen in the 70th minute of play. Bloodthirsty FC's Kenneth Biörkquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Bloodthirsty FC from getting a goal against them. Joachim Forseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Viklund in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th play minute Erik Cantona came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kenneth Biörkquist. 0-4. Saga TF's Oskar Petersson was substituted for Brian Laudrup. A collision led to Bloodthirsty FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Sakarias Ahlroth hit a great ball. After 86 minutes of play, Saga TF's Erik Cantona made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth Biörkquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 91 played minutes Bloodthirsty FC got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Nordin. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Erik Cantona got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 96 minutes into the match, Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Biörkquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Cantona. Kenneth Biörkquist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Santi Urbieta. When the match was over Saga TF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bloodthirsty FC throughout the match.
