Christof Baier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymon Souplet in the 10th minute of the match. Christof Baier made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Eric Mobley sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Lars Oliver Johannsen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hawarden's Pierre Moseley. Pierre Moseley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the match, Hawarden's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Thein came free, but Pierre Moseley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Oliver Johannsen in the 26th minute of play forced Hawarden's goalkeeper Pierre Moseley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Sweeney hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Lars Oliver Johannsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Mertendorf FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elvin Andrade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eric Mobley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Mobley was the one to do the kick off. Karl Schiele hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Eric Mobley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hawarden's Pierre Moseley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Thein in the 58th minute of play. Pierre Moseley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolas Bockisch in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymon Souplet in the 61st minute of play forced Mertendorf FC's goalkeeper Christof Baier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mertendorf FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Mertendorf FC:s Christof Baier showed great skill when he stopped Errol Mothé:s penalty. Errol Mothé scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christof Baier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the game, Raymon Souplet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawarden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mertendorf FC the free kick. A collision led to Hawarden getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Raymon Souplet hit a great ball. Nicolas Thein kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Dario Sweeney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christof Baier. Mertendorf FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Christof Baier came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Hawarden's Raymon Souplet. But to his dismay, Raymon Souplet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Christof Baier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymon Souplet, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Merrill Dostie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
