The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Charlie Vandamme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. The supporters of Red Bull Magnus booed when New Miran FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Neeskens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gino Tonić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bass Dost in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, New Miran FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Braga to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, New Miran FC's Johan Neeskens got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gino Tonić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bass Dost in the 18th minute of the match. Gino Tonić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bass Dost, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Cláudio Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Neeskens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New Miran FC's Gino Tonić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Hefter in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Turner in the 26th minute of play forced Red Bull Magnus's goalkeeper Cláudio Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Braga lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Red Bull Magnus's Paulo Renato Trigo was substituted for Gerson Cruzado. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of New Miran FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Red Bull Magnus:s goal. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Red Bull Magnus. Bass Dost stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gino Tonić. 0-1. Gino Tonić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Hefter, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Gino Tonić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bass Dost in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Turner was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Arturo Turner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Wiliam Ferraz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Red Bull Magnus's You Wei Xing was substituted for Paulo Renato Trigo. Gino Tonić made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luisão Negri sent off a good shot on target. Cláudio Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo De Leon in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's Johan Neeskens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio Bittencourt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute Axel Bäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Tonić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match, Luisão Negri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gino Tonić was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 78 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's goal looked a bit too open when You Wei Xing came free, but Gino Tonić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by New Miran FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisão Negri got free with Gino Tonić in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the game, Red Bull Magnus's You Wei Xing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gino Tonić made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Red Bull Magnus eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
