Alexsandro Teles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but João Vítor Esteves made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Olavo Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Fantasma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XV de Piracicaba the free kick. Olavo Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Real Fantasma's João Vítor Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Real Fantasma from getting a goal against them. João Vítor Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Montoia in the 17th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Real Fantasma got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Albuquerque. Fábio Montoia missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 46 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the João Vítor Esteves right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzalo Jurdan made a kick off. In the 51st minute Severino Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olavo Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Gonzalo Jurdan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The XV de Piracicaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 78th minute, Gonzalo Jurdan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Vítor Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. XV de Piracicaba had played much better football throughout.
