In the 14th minute Jonas Brion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliano Obeko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Poz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aureliano Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Brion in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Elpidio Viviano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Leones FC's Aureliano Obeko. Aureliano Obeko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Simbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Rumaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Jaime Mundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 46 minutes on the clock, Paolo Rumaldo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 46th minute, one of Simbo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Simbo FC. The goalkeeper, Octavio Lauaxeta, was totally fooled by Leones FC's Gaspar Sabin, who 49 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Brion to make the kick off. Julian Rameriz hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Simbo FC's Felipe Tipi was substituted for Julian Rameriz. In the 63rd match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Ongile to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Dario Gaizko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simbo FC the free kick. After 65 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Gaizko. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Brion got free with Aureliano Obeko in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Jonas Brion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Obeko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Gervasio Matei got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Poz came free, but Octavio Lauaxeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Felipe Tipi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aureliano Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Brion in the 78th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goalkeeper Aureliano Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Brion. Octavio Lauaxeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Poz, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 97 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Louis.
