In the 7th match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Antunes to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Corneliu Dridu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Corneliu Dridu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Celso Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu got a free kick in the 14th minute. Vitório Lago succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 16th playminute. The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Omid Kaulbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boyisana Mnisi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Celso Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Moisés Matorin sent off a good shot on target. Dr Lecter SC's Tihomir Donevski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Boyisana Mnisi, made in the 35th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Válbson Batista got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dr Lecter SC's zone, Vitório Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Trevisan came out of the goal and Vitório Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corneliu Dridu took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Varela. Allan Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vitório Lago made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Eugênio Alagoano in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dr Lecter SC's Tihomir Donevski. 54 minutes into the match, Vitório Lago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Trevisan. Dr Lecter SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Lago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 64th minute, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Allan Varela. Allan Varela yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 67th minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the game Tihomir Donevski made a throw-in which Omid Kaulbach played forward. With a little luck, Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela got control of the ball when Omid Kaulbach tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tihomir Donevski to maneuver through the defense. Jorginho Ferreira made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dr Lecter SC's Ma Wei Jun. In the 81st minute Lauro Antunes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 81 minutes, Jorginho Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the Dr Lecter SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorginho Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Wanderson Fernandez replaced Omid Kaulbach. In the 82nd minute, Jorginho Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Mauro Romero got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mauro Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Godoi scored 3-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Trevisan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
