Svartvallstjärnens IF's Linus Ahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sören Gregersson in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Svartvallstjärnens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Bergman came free, but Linus Ahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Pihlgren's late challenge caught a Svartvallstjärnens IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Björn Pihlgren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Svartvallstjärnens IF booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Pihlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Göran Cane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kent Näver. The goal made the score 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Svartvallstjärnens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sören Gregersson came free, but Linus Ahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Peder Alström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Sören Gregersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Linus Ahlquist was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Sören Gregersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Linus Ahlquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Linus Ahlquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Kalfhage in the 22nd minute of the match. Karl-Magnus Bergman hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Tore Svartström was substituted for Elliott Malmberg. 29 minutes into the match, Svartvallstjärnens IF's Mats Ljusberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kent Näver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Linus Ahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Gregersson in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peder Alström in the 36th minute of play forced Svartvallstjärnens IF's goalkeeper Linus Ahlquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. INIXET BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Göran Cane scored to the left of an out of position Kent Näver, making the score, 2-2. Linus Ahlquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sören Gregersson's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Cane in the 45th minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kent Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peder Alström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Tore Svartström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Näver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Ljusberg in the 52nd minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kent Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Gregersson took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Linus Ahlquist. Linus Ahlquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A collision led to Svartvallstjärnens IF getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kieth Isebergh hit a great ball. In the 65th minute INIXET BK were awarded a corner. Tom Lövgren went to the cornerflag to take it. INIXET BK's Tom Lövgren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Linus Ahlquist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sören Gregersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Linus Ahlquist made a huge save. Kent Näver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Cane in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Mats Ljusberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Svartvallstjärnens IF's goalkeeper Linus Ahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Kalfhage. A sloppy throw-in by Pål Svanberg in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Svartvallstjärnens IF's Thiago Castelao. Kent Näver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Cane in the 91st minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
