After a rather tough play, Mansfield Town FC's Martin Wennerquist got a free kick in the 11th minute. Roar Klev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Sandell, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Hampus Gallberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mårten Olsman in the 16th minute. Aron Blom charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aron Blom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mountainhammer United's Aron Blom got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes Mountainhammer United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximilian Seger who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Mansfield Town FC's Hampus Gallberg got control of the ball when Arne Back tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute Christoffer Häll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hampus Gallberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Mårten Olsman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mansfield Town FC's Hampus Gallberg. Roar Klev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Sandell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mansfield Town FC booed when Mountainhammer United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Back didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andreas Sandell to make the kick off. Henric Bållström's late challenge caught a Mansfield Town FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
