But to his dismay, Roque Santa Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Made in Paraguay's Vincente Monzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Lizbeth in the 33rd minute of play. If Joseba Font had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Roque Santa Cruz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Made in Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The referee ignored Made in Paraguay's protests and gave Leopoldo Luque a yellow card for diving instead.
