An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Terra in the 26th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmond Verdun, 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joe Tate to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Terra got free with Ronnie Hellström in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Hamrin in the 59th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Rudberg in the 60th minute of the match. Emílio Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Errecaborda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Terra to maneuver through the defense. Edmond Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Williams in the 69th minute of play.
