Glenn Fyfe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 3rd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Glenn Fyfe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Del Piero scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Branislav Velchevski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Genaro Mercurio got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Del Piero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when James Batistuta came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, James Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 30th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Fyfe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Olle Olsson with James Batistuta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Elpidio Francis struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Glenn Fyfe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from King Scorpio in the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell James Batistuta to make the kick off. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 61st minute of play. James Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Erasmo Damião replaced Iulian Berceanu. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Miguel Prosperi. A4p FC Gad's Flavius Cândroveanu was substituted for Alessandro Del Piero. James Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere. James Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Branislav Velchevski made a huge save. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Batistuta in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Genaro Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Mercurio. In the 81st minute A4p FC Gad were awarded a corner. Marcin Pachucki went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Busuioc in the 83rd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Gică Busuioc took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Branislav Velchevski to make any attempt to save it. Branislav Velchevski was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Flavius Cândroveanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Flavius Cândroveanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. In the 94th play minute Flavius Cândroveanu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Branislav Velchevski. 0-6. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. A4p FC Gad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
