An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Xande in the 5th minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cafu Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cássio Peixoto hit a great ball. Flamengo FSCMZ's Luís Fábio Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Willibald Otto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Xande Xande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fábio Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Otto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafu Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Erik Harman went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 42 played minutes OTTO FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Sabóia. In the 43rd minute of the match Fabiano de Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cafu Linares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cafu Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Xande in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Valdir Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. Luís Fábio Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Valdir Magalhães scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Sven-Erik Harman could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Cafu Linares however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of OTTO FC - FSCMZ booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Flamengo FSCMZ getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Marco Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Geovanni Sabóia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Fábio Silveira skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Valdir Magalhães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Luís Fábio Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Fábio Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Otto, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Luís Fábio Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Vasconcelos in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Jefferson Otto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Flamengo FSCMZ's Fabiano de Medeiros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cafu Linares. Cafu Linares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FSCMZ's Giovani Paranaense got a free kick in the 77th minute. Marco Fonseca lost his temper 84 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Xande Xande had several of the OTTO FC - FSCMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-3 score and a disappointed Cafu Linares as he didn't even see the shot coming. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
