After a defensive mix-up in Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's zone, Sílvio Luís Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Sousa came out of the goal and Sílvio Luís Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Juan Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Adhemar Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Luís Pinho in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 30 in the game by Deivid Moreira from a close distance when the talented Juan Azevedo managed to make a qualified save. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's players were relieved. In the 40th minute, Sílvio Luís Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Sílvio Luís Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cacá Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sílvio Luís Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Azevedo having to interfere. Cacá Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neymar Santos went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.
