Deivid Moreira started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, James Orange had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerson Viana. Aesir FC FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Orange was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Gerson Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Moreira in the 17th minute of play. Hélio Cosme struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Cacá Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aesir FC FSCMZ. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Benedito Proença fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's protests and gave Benedito Proença a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Benedito Proença hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes, Aesir FC FSCMZ's André Luís Loureiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cacá Sousa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aesir FC FSCMZ reached it. 29 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Proença came free, but Gerson Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerson Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Cearense in the 34th minute of the match. Gerson Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Cearense's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Guga Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Sousa having to interfere. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Aesir FC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga Gaspar in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match James Orange shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson Viana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edgard Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Deivid Moreira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gerson Viana. Deivid Moreira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. In the 72nd minute Deivid Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilton Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerson Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Hélio Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Cacá Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, James Orange left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. If Guga Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard, long distance shot from André Luís Loureiro flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aesir FC FSCMZ's zone, Nilton Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Viana came out of the goal and Nilton Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cearense came free, but Gerson Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 minutes, André Luís Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aesir FC FSCMZ and the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Aesir FC FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ:s goal.
