The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Akarsu got free with Ermengol Baena in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► got a freekick which was hit by Dawid Wietrzychowski. The corner led ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Bob Morley to fire away a dangerous shot which Ismael Gimenez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► got a corner. Deportivo Mukenio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Solustiano Blea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Franco Bosch made a great header on ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s corner, it was just that Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Franco Bosch put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ismael Gimenez. Ermengol Baena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 41st minute. 47 minutes into the match, Franco Bosch notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez. Ismael Gimenez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Bosch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Franco Bosch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ismael Gimenez came out and tried to block the shot, but Franco Bosch slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 52nd minute. Ermengol Baena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aziz Akarsu's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Bosch came free, but Ismael Gimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean-Pierre Pogba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermengol Baena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Franco Bosch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Gimenez. The goal made the score 2-5. After having played for 80 minutes, Franco Bosch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Franco Bosch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Franco Bosch came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Bosch couldn't finish the play. Ermengol Baena came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Mukenio's Aziz Akarsu. But to his dismay, Aziz Akarsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. The Deportivo Mukenio supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s performance.
