The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Nadie nos Para's Xzaiver Cabalar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martín Izquierdo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 6th minute Christian Izquierdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Illart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Palermo F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nestor Lertxun in the 7th minute. The corner led Martin Palermo F.C.'s Nestor Lertxun to fire away a dangerous shot which Gregorio Illart despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Martín Izquierdo got control of the ball when Per-Åke Albohm tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Martín Izquierdo managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Nadie nos Para's Xzaiver Cabalar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitri Foulquier in the 21st minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Martin Palermo F.C. defense, Omer Dolar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martín Izquierdo. The Martin Palermo F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martín Izquierdo should have stopped the shot. Martín Izquierdo made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Xzaiver Cabalar sent off a good shot on target. After 30 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Perrando. Martin Palermo F.C. were furious when Angelino Elia was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Martín Izquierdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xzaiver Cabalar in the 32nd minute of play. Isaac Perrando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Illart having to interfere. The supporters of Nadie nos Para booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Nestor Lertxun made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Omer Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martín Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri Foulquier in the 57th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Isaac Perrando made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregorio Illart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nadie nos Para made a substitution. Ovidio Castulo replaced Artemio Vito. 74 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Omer Dolar came free, but Martín Izquierdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nadie nos Para's Omer Dolar in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 89 played minutes, Nadie nos Para's Aureliano Lastur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nadie nos Para reached it. After 92 minutes of play, Nadie nos Para's Omer Dolar made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martín Izquierdo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omer Dolar in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Pierres in the 95th minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Palermo F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
