Stein Geest's late challenge caught a ACF Fiorentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stein Geest helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Rune Fastesson was the one to do the kick off. Boquenses's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Tirso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Kalinowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boquenses's Tobias Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Boquenses's Rodrigo Ferdinand dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 95th minute Rodrigo Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Kalinowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Boquenses supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boquenses would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
