The La Cosa Nostra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Arias came free, but Joel Delfino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, BEIJO CARNAVAL's Alonzo Lazcano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Delfino was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Adam Jönsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Many of BEIJO CARNAVAL's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. BEIJO CARNAVAL may have spent more time on the ball, but La Cosa Nostra were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
