The Talleres de Escalada fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Talleres de Escalada's Attilio Casciano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Jacinto Cuadrado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martin Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiusz Banaszak in the 18th minute of the match. Jacinto Cuadrado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Talleres de Escalada's goalkeeper Martin Leheren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hitzeder Manrique. Martin Leheren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hitzeder Manrique in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Hitzeder Manrique had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Leheren. Talleres de Escalada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hitzeder Manrique was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The goalkeeper seemed frozen by the shot, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went outside of the right post. After the first half Talleres de Escalada were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacinto Cuadrado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 96th minute of the match Thibault Moon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Cuadrado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
