Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nicanor Gaufred took the kick off in the first half of the match. Victor Heredia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Marchi to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, SAN LORENZO FC's Jorge Rinaldi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Lekubegi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Victor Heredia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Lekubegi. Palermo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Heredia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Valentin Enekoitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. John Locke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Victor Heredia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raimundo Domiku's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Domiku helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Domiku. Dionisio Oton hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. John Locke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santos Ioritz in the 46th minute. Enrique Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Heredia in the 47th minute of play. After the first half SAN LORENZO FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Victor Heredia made the kick off in the second half. Victor Heredia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Enrique Lekubegi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper John Locke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Nereo Rodas hit a great ball. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Simon Eufrasio replaced Nereo Rodas. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Teodosio Ugaitz replaced Victor Heredia. The supporters of Palermo booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dionisio Oton hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jorge Rinaldi struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Enrique Lekubegi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO FC. Teodosio Ugaitz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Enrique Lekubegi 75 minutes into the match. If Teodosio Ugaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonides Elizardo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The SAN LORENZO FC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when SAN LORENZO FC's Teodosio Ugaitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Erubiel Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Teodosio Ugaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAN LORENZO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 95th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Oton to maneuver through the defense.
