Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Teofilo Federigo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 20 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Cupial came free, but Teofilo Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Cupial, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Teofilo Federigo was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Remigiusz Bronkala capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wlodzimierz Sokolski got free with Teofilo Federigo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Newcastle United's Antoni Cupial got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigiusz Bronkala got free with Teofilo Federigo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, Wlodzimierz Sokolski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teofilo Federigo, 3-0. Teofilo Federigo came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United's Antoni Cupial. But to his dismay, Antoni Cupial quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, one of Palermo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wlodzimierz Sokolski scored 5-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teofilo Federigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Arkadiusz Rojewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arkadiusz Rojewski in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofilo Federigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute Remigiusz Bronkala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Sokolski, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Newcastle United's Remigiusz Bronkala made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Federigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teofilo Federigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Cupial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkadiusz Rojewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. In the 99th minute Remigiusz Bronkala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palermo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
