E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Jorge Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sotil in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Flores in the 29th minute of play forced E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goalkeeper Jorge Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Veremundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Custódio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Efrain Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Melo in the 35th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Berbiz to make the kick off. Rafinha Custódio struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Efrain Veremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE. 55 minutes into the game, Antonio Berbiz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jorge Furtado. Antonio Berbiz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Las Palmas's goalkeeper Efrain Veremundo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafinha Custódio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Efrain Veremundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. If Ruy Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayetano Valerio's late challenge caught a E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Valerio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Las Palmas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Valerio to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Sotil in the 68th minute of the match. The corner led Las Palmas's Ceferino Joey to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Furtado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cayetano Valerio made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Lin Yan Liang. After a defensive mix-up in Las Palmas's zone, Lin Yan Liang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Veremundo came out of the goal and Lin Yan Liang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE were furious when Vinicio Balasi was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Las Palmas's Ceferino Joey got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jorge Furtado. The Las Palmas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
