The audience thought a goal was coming when Fagildo Pamanes got free with Pontus Nordström in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 13th play minutes Bolo Bolaño shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Pontus Nordström and just under the crossbar into goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Pisarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Consejo del Mate made a substitution. Peyo Fonelleda replaced Vicente Santana. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Santa Margarita eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
