Raimundo Ventura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Joacim First made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Holger Siöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinhote FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Holger Siöberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Qiu Chuan Ran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joacim First showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Lixandro in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were awarded a corner. Israel Carvalhal went to the cornerflag to take it. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Claudemiro Madureira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joacim First in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Joacim First was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Claudemiro Madureira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudemiro Madureira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gonzalo Lixandro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Lixandro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joacim First breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joacim First showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Lixandro in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Ventura to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luís Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Lixandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Joacim First tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joacim First showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Sílvio Luís Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qiu Chuan Ran having to interfere. In the 36th minute Holger Siöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joacim First showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Ventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Qiu Chuan Ran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guo Ming's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Guo Ming's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Qiu Chuan Ran was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Rodolfo Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Joacim First made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Holger Siöberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Joacim First took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Lixandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Menelaos Damianos got a free kick in the 68th minute. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Siöberg in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Raimundo Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim First saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes Pinhote FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Menelaos Damianos who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Rodolfo Faria getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. from getting a goal against them. Pinhote FC's Joacim First played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Faria in the 92nd minute of play. Guo Ming received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Qiu Chuan Ran came out and tried to block the shot, but Guo Ming slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 94th minute. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
