In the 2nd match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torcato Rebocho to maneuver through the defense. 3 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fu Han Qiang. André Roriz took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon Oblak. Jon Oblak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Andarilhos were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Garanhão do SUL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jorge Ruas took the corner. The corner ended in Jorge Ruas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola did a great save. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trifon Katsoulis in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when André Roriz came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fu Han Qiang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignatius Casasola was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Edgar Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fu Han Qiang came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ignatius Casasola could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akis Kefallinos in the 35th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Jon Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Garanhão do SUL from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fu Han Qiang. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. André Roriz hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Salvador Lousada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garanhão do SUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Andarilhos the free kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Edgar Costa made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Jorge Ruas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ignatius Casasola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trifon Katsoulis's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. When Fu Han Qiang came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Andarilhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fu Han Qiang couldn't finish the play. Garanhão do SUL's Amado Vigário was substituted for Torcato Rebocho. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Angel Edorta replaced Salvador Lousada. Garanhão do SUL's Albano Leizarraga was substituted for Edgar Costa. In the 66th minute, Fu Han Qiang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Fu Han Qiang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Fu Han Qiang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignatius Casasola was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 77 minutes into the match, Trifon Katsoulis notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola. Ignatius Casasola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Figueira to maneuver through the defense. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trifon Katsoulis in the 87th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Albano Leizarraga. If Albano Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aloísio Garcez came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Garanhão do SUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Garcez couldn't finish the play. Andarilhos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Garanhão do SUL for a fine match.
