Marcelinho Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Moutinho's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Aleixo in the 11th minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magne Hedman got free with Marcelinho Barral in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Matias Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho Barral had great luck who in the 17thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nuno Moutinho from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Balas F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gerard Pique in the 19th minute. A nice corner shot did that Gerard Pique got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelinho Barral quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcelinho Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Moutinho in the 21st minute of play. Isidro Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ksawery Winnicki in the 27th minute of the match. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Roceira SC from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Balas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hulk Speed came free, but Isidro Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balas F.C.'s Magne Hedman got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Roceira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Rossi to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hulk Speed to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Hulk Speed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roceira SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hulk Speed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balas F.C.'s Angel Cordarrel was substituted for Timóteo Fontoura. Balas F.C. made a substitution. Cees Klein replaced Nuno Moutinho. In the 57th minute, Valdo das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Balas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Winnicki came free, but Isidro Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Balas F.C.'s Isidro Madureira got control of the ball when Michel Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isidro Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ksawery Winnicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Hulk Speed reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isidro Madureira. The goal made the score 1-1. Hulk Speed scored 1-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Madureira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 87 played minutes Balas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Porfírio Pedroso. The supporters of Roceira SC booed when Balas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cees Klein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Cordarrel in the 92nd minute of the match. Marcelinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
